Utretch

A couple of years ago the Mr. and I took a trip through Europe (you can see the first and second stops here and here). When we were in the Netherlands we decided to visit his family in Utretch. They were situated outside the city with lots of land and amazing country views - spending time with his family was one of the top highlights of the trip.
For our quick stay we went into town and climbed to the top of the Domtoren (or 'Dom'), a cathedral tower that on clear days you can see Amsterdam from. We dined at cafes right on the canal, strolled through markets and we crossed an item off my bucket list (biking in Holland). Out of all the cities we visited on our trip, Utretch was the one where I could picture us living one day. There was this sense of home and comfort there and it's tons of fun - it's like a mini-Amsterdam without all the tourists!
